Oor ain folk!

Bonnie Scotland I adore thee though I’m so far awa’ – so the song goes and to some degree it is true. We live in one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring parts  of this land of Italy and probably the part which most resembles Scotland. So when we had the opportunity to sit down and eat and chatter with ‘oor ain folks’ for 3hours and share the joys and challenges of life here in Italy it was a joy. We had a wonderful time with our dear friends Dave and Rosie Galloway and their lovely children, Sam, Mary, Robbie and Patrick as they passed through Italy en route to Lyons.

While we love the place and the people the Lord has called us to here, we miss those that we have known and loved and walked with on the journey of life with our Lord. It was poignant to here the lovely Irish lilt of Rosie and Dave and guid Scots brogue of their children. It took us on a journey back to Edinburgh and we had a wonderful time.

It was a reminder that we are loved by those we have left behind for a while and we thank the Lord for this precious visit.

We have not yet opened the travel agency but we are happy to receive enquiries for those who want to experience one of the most beautiful places on God’s earth but also one of the most needy in terms of bringing light to the darkness. To spend time here is physically and emotionally refreshing and spiritually uplifting as well as challenging. If you are interested in experiencing this we are open to enquiries……….
